About Taste of Baltimore
Taste of Baltimore is a mobile seafood kitchen serving Maryland-style food across Eastern North Carolina and the Triangle. The truck cooks steamed blue crabs, lump crab cakes, seafood eggrolls stuffed with shrimp, crab and lobster, fried and steamed shrimp, fish sandwiches and chicken boxes. Sauces include Bubblin' Brown Suga, garlic honey mustard and mambo. The team caters weddings, corporate events and festivals, with on-site cooking or drop-off trays, and sells Philmore's Gourmet Sauce.
Taste of Baltimore began as a desire to bring authentic blue crabs and Baltimore-style seafood to Eastern North Carolina. The founder grew up in a family of men and women who cooked seafood well, and carried that into the menu. Operations launched in July 2025 with a food truck. The stated goal is to grow into community-focused restaurants.
