About The Buy Black Guide

The Buy Black Guide is an online directory of Black-owned brands, businesses and professionals. Visitors search listings by specialty or location, compare profiles and reviews, then contact members directly. Business owners can buy a membership listing with photos, videos, customer reviews, event postings and monthly social media spotlights. The guide also publishes business owner spotlight articles, promotes local events, and hosts the annual Black Is Beautiful Bridal Show in Charlotte.

The Buy Black Guide was founded on Juneteenth 2020, after its founder found it difficult to locate Black-owned businesses in the North Carolina Triad. The stated aim is to circulate the Black dollar locally and help mend systemic and economic gaps. Since launching, the directory lists hundreds of Black-owned businesses nationwide.
