About The Clubhouse

A private country club built around a family-friendly pool with roughly 100,000 gallons of water and more than 3,000 square feet of deck space, open to members and their guests. Members receive discounts on special events, activities, and classes hosted by the club's social collective. The indoor spaces are available to rent for weddings, rehearsal and anniversary dinners, proms, reunions, business meetings, baby showers, graduations, and birthday parties.

The property began in 1957, when local farmers and businessmen pooled resources to establish a country club in Holly Hill; for over 60 years it operated as the Holly Hill Golf Club and drew families from across the low country. Michael and Emerald Dennis joined in April 2021 after moving from downtown Charleston, and spent their first summer poolside there. Little more than a year later the land and buildings were sold to developers and the club closed. The Dennis family approached the new developers about recovering the portion of the property holding the pool and activity rooms, and reopened it as The Clubhouse.
