About The Curl Bar Salon
A multicultural natural hair salon working with all curl patterns and textures, with services including silk presses, quick weaves, shampoo and blow dry, amino acid treatments, locs and children's hair. The salon is kid-friendly for ages 4 and up, though it notes it may not suit very tender scalps, and it books by appointment to avoid long waits and overbooking. Bridal party bookings and hair classes are also offered, along with retail Nea Organics products such as curl moisturizer, hair growth oil and leave-in conditioner.
Owner Shamere, a licensed Master Cosmetologist, developed an interest in hair at 16 and earned her cosmetology diploma from Gwinnett Technical College in 2015, with over 10 years of experience specializing in natural hair, children's hair and locs. She opened The Curl Bar Salon three years ago to create a welcoming space centered on natural hair care, and the salon says it has served clients for over nine years. Lead Stylist Kenyana, also a licensed Master Cosmetologist, was born and raised in Decatur, GA and has eight years of experience.
