About The Ranch Community Store

A thrift store selling gently used clothing, accessories, furniture, toys, home decor, housewares, sports gear, appliances, and lawn and tools, with departments sorted and inventory restocked daily from donations. Staff quality-check merchandise before it hits the floor, so items are often in better condition than typical thrift stores. Donations can be dropped at the store, left in yellow clothing bins available around the clock, or scheduled for free pickup for large loads. All proceeds support Chestnut Mountain Ranch, a home and school for boys in crisis. Named Best Second-Hand Clothing in Morgantown in 2023 and 2025 and Best Charity/Non-Profit in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Chestnut Mountain Ranch was founded in 2005 to give boys in crisis a safe place and to help restore family relationships. As the program needed to grow, the Ranch Community Store was created as a way to fund its Operation Go Home mission through donated goods and volunteer support. The same organization later opened The Ranch Quick Lube in Morgantown in 2017 and a second location in Granville, WV, in 2022.
