About The Ripped Bodice

The Ripped Bodice is a romance-only bookstore in Culver City founded by sisters Bea and Leah Koch in March 2016 — the first store of its kind in the Northern Hemisphere. Woman- and queer-owned, it also carries children's books, general fiction, and gifts, and hosts author signings, book clubs, and romantic-comedy nights; it has since expanded with a second location in Brooklyn.
