About The Us Space
A downtown Houston coworking and creative collective built around women of color and women-led businesses, offering memberships, day passes, and bookable space for meetings, classes, and events. Members get access to programming, networking events, and a partner network, with weekend availability for private bookings. The space emphasizes convenient access, dependable parking, and secure facilities, and works in partnership with The Cannon Houston to provide physical space. In-person and virtual tours are available, along with a blog and shop.
Founder LaGina Harris started The Us Space in 2020 after years of searching for a workspace that was both affordable and connected to a genuine collaborative community. The idea traced back more than six years earlier during her time in Austin, Texas, where she felt a lack of visibility and value across the organizations she worked in and began organizing art shows that brought creatives together. Researching women-centric organizations, she found the community she wanted did not exist, and built it instead. The company logo, developed with TUS members, uses three rounded triangles to represent women's power, collaboration, and representation.
