Before opening her own firm she was an Assistant State's Attorney in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office from 1991 to 1998 and again from 2006 to 2017. She earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1990 and a business degree from the University of St. Thomas in 1987.
