Attorney Michelle Tupper Butler founded the firm after her father, theologian and professor Dr. E. Frank Tupper, was left a quadriplegic following a fall at home. With no plan in place, she took on his care and advocacy while managing his finances and balancing her legal career and two young children. Moving from a long career as a litigator, she opened Tupper Butler Law to help other families prepare before a crisis. Her father died in late February 2020, and she credits the plan he had put in place with allowing the family peace in his final days.
