About Virgin Island Thyme

A fast casual Caribbean grille with a menu inspired by the food and culture of the U.S. Virgin Islands, cooked fresh to order. Signature dishes include jerk chicken, braised oxtail, coconut shrimp and Rock City BBQ ribs. Catering, including full service, is available for events, along with takeout, delivery and online ordering through an app with rewards and Apple Pay. The restaurant was voted Best Caribbean Restaurant in Orlando for 2022 and 2023.

The restaurant opened in 2017 under owner and executive chef Vern Thomas, a native of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It has since won multiple awards for its Caribbean cuisine and is now partnering with franchise owners with plans to expand into select U.S. markets.
