About Watch Hill Proper
A bourbon bar and kitchen in the Norton Commons community, open to the public for guests 21 and over, with what it describes as the largest selection of American whiskey in the world alongside a curated wine list and cocktail program. Chef Michael Crouch leads a menu of elevated American cuisine. The space is divided into a speakeasy-style Main Bar, a daytime-friendly Lounge, a bourbon-focused Library, and the Fermenter cocktail bar, which can be booked for private cocktail parties. Programming includes distillery meet-and-greets, blind tasting events, a Tuesday night music series, an annual American Whiskey Festival, a bottle club, barrel pick experiences, and lodging; membership is optional but offered. The bar has been named a James Beard Award semifinalist for Outstanding Bar.
