About YELLOW Georgetown

A Levantine café from chef Michael Rafidi serving mezze, hummus, and pita sandwiches wood-fired to order, alongside an all-day menu and a (not) pizza offering at the Georgetown location. Executive Pastry Chef Alicia Wang leads a viennoiserie program that pairs French technique with Middle Eastern flavors, including za'atar and labne croissants, chocolate 7 spice cruffins, and baklava kouign amanns. Coffee Director Ayat Elhag runs a program rooted in Arabic coffee culture using Counter Culture beans, with drinks such as baklava mocha lattes and coconut cardamom iced coffees. Everything is available for dine-in or carryout, and catering and gift cards are offered.

YELLOW opened in 2020 next door to Albi, its Michelin-starred sister restaurant, in Washington's Navy Yard. The Georgetown café followed in 2022, and a flagship location in Union Market opened in 2024. Chef/owner Michael Rafidi draws on his family's roots in Ramallah, Palestine and his grandparents' home cooking; he has been named a James Beard finalist for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic and Eater DC's Chef of the Year.
