Yellowcake is the signature line of designer and Project Runway alumna Valerie Mayén, who studied illustration at the Cleveland Institute of Art and Otis College of Art and Design before turning to fashion. The name references yellow cake as the overlooked underdog dessert, a stand-in for women in society.
