About You Reach I Teach Basketball Academy

You Reach I Teach Basketball Academy trains players ages 5 and up in Gaithersburg. The academy offers private one-on-one sessions, group training capped at ten players, shooting machine sessions, camps and school's out clinics. Coaches are former Division 1 and professional players. Work covers ball handling, shooting, defense, strength and conditioning, and team building. The gym is also available for rental, and leagues and memberships are offered.

Joel Barkers founded the academy in 2016. A former professional basketball standout, he built it around mentorship and a safe, educational athletic environment for children and adults. He has since assembled a team of former professional and collegiate players as trainers.
