About Boyd Cru Wines

Boyd Cru Wines makes Maryland wines and runs a tasting room at Savage Mill in Savage. The wines are blended from 100% Maryland-grown vinifera and hybrid grapes, produced in Poolesville. Guests reserve tables in the bar, book nook, community and event areas, or the outdoor Corkyard Patio. Light bites like charcuterie boards and flatbreads pair with the wines.

Founders Matthew and Jon'll Boyd began their wine journey in April 2023. Wine had marked their milestones, but the pandemic and the sudden loss of Matthew's mother, Jon'll's nephew and later Matthew's father pushed them to follow the dream. They built from the ground up, producing in a Poolesville, MD facility with Maryland-grown grapes, then opened their first tasting room and community hub.
