About John H. Moody Farm

John H. Moody Farm is a family cattle farm in Soso, Jones County, Mississippi, that sells 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef online. The farm says its cattle are humanely raised and never given antibiotics or added hormones, and that its beef is USDA inspected and aged for tenderness. Customers buy individual cuts or bundles (steak, roast, ground beef, patties, oxtail, beef bacon, fajita and cookout bundles) or a whole or half beef. Cuts are vacuum-sealed, frozen and shipped in insulated boxes with dry ice to customers across the Southeast, including Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina and South Carolina. The farm also sells beef wholesale.

The farm carries the name of the owners' grandfather, John H. Moody, a Mississippi farmer who raised many crops two generations ago before finding that grass-fed cattle were the most reliable part of his operation. The farm he built still exists. His grandchildren continue raising grass-fed cattle in Soso and added an online marketplace to sell the beef directly to consumers.
