Leslie F. Thomas earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Drexel University and an M.B.A. from Temple University, graduating with honors from both, then worked as a Section Manager in the Market Research Department at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. She left that position to attend the University of Cincinnati School of Law and has practiced in the Greater Cincinnati area for more than 20 years. She serves as legal advisor to the Cincinnati Chapter of Black Psychologists and co-hosts Psychology Law for Life, a call-in radio program on WAIF 88.3 FM, with her husband, clinical psychologist Dr. John H. Thomas.
