About Ron's Roost

Fried chicken is the centerpiece, with roughly 10,000 pieces of poultry served weekly, and the restaurant has been voted Cincinnati's Best Fried Chicken by the Cincinnati Enquirer and won Best Damn Dish at Taste of Cincinnati. Other longtime dishes include homemade German sauerbraten, BBQ ribs, hot bacon slaw, mock turtle soup, Saratoga chips and homemade cream pies, plus burgers, salads, wings and seafood. There is a buffet and salad bar, separate dinner, lunch, carry-out and party menus, and a full bar. The dining room has 20 flatscreen TVs along with Keno and sports betting; online ordering and OpenTable reservations are available.

Ron Larkin Sr. and his wife Olga opened the restaurant on Cincinnati's West Side in 1960 with the aim of serving comforting meals that bring people together. It remains family-owned and operated after more than six decades. Its mascot, the "chicken-mobile," is a giant fiberglass chicken mounted on a classic car.
