About RyGuy's Chicken & Waffles

A fast-casual chicken operation serving wings, fried chicken and waffles from a counter inside the James Joyce Irish Pub & Eatery in Ybor City. Chicken is never frozen and is pulled from the marinade, hand breaded and fried only after the order is placed, with no heat lamps or holding bins. Waffles are pressed to order with fresh toppings, and the open kitchen lets customers watch the cooks work. Online ordering is available, and the site also has a music page.

The restaurant operated previously as RyRy's Chicken & Waffles before becoming RyGuy's. The owner, who signs the about page as Ry, credits the customers he calls "Mutha Cluckaz" with making the business a reality, and runs it on the motto "take pride in what you do."
