Aaron Norris started cutting in college, working on teammates and dorm mates while finishing a graphic design degree with a marketing minor at the University of Mount Olive. What began as a favor turned into a discipline. After a spell in a conventional nine-to-five that never fit, he enrolled at Wake Tech Barber School and trained under director William Graham, then kept chasing the work — traveling to the United Kingdom to learn alongside and collaborate with barbers he considered among the best, and folding what he picked up abroad back into the chair in Raleigh. That lineage shows in what the shop specializes in: fades and shear work, treated as two separate skills that have to meet cleanly. The clipper handles the gradient — burst fades, tapers, drop fades, the blend from skin to length — and the shears handle the shape and the texture on top.
