About Black Women Vend
Black Women Vend is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit program, founded by Jennifer Laurent, that trains and supports Black women street food vendors in South LA. The six-week program helps entrepreneurs obtain permits and licenses under California's SB972 requirements while covering brand storytelling, business skills, and wellness. Black Women Vend also hosts the weekly Leimert Park Night Market, showcasing around 20 Black women-owned food businesses each Wednesday evening.
