About Cakes by Nita, LLC

Cakes by Nita is an approved home-based bakery in Bethel, North Carolina. Nita bakes wedding cakes, birthday, shower, anniversary and holiday cakes, plus cupcakes. Cakes come in several flavors and fillings, iced in her homemade buttercream, with fondant used for specialty and wedding designs. Dessert table treats include cake jars, parfait cups, cake pops, mini pies, candy apples and decorated Oreos. Corporate boxes and popcorn treats are also available.

Nita has made custom homemade cakes for about 15 years. What began as a hobby in cake baking and decorating grew into a local business. She taught a Plated Desserts class at Edgecombe Community College in Tarboro. She has competed in cake shows, winning ribbons and first place in the wedding category at the Great American Cake Show. She donates leftover cakes to Joy Soup Kitchen and Tarboro Community Outreach.
