About Cooking with Comedy

Cooking with Comedy Catering serves Western North Carolina with soul food given a modern twist. Chef Clarence Robinson caters corporate events, private parties from intimate dinners to holiday gatherings, and weddings. Drop-off service is available, and pricing depends on menu and party size. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all covered. The company also runs a food truck, Soul on the Road, with a locator on the site.

Clarence Robinson trained at A-B Tech College in Asheville, then worked at the Grove Park Inn resort and spa, ran the Western Carolina Rescue Ministry kitchen and served as executive chef at an event center. He created Cooking With Comedy Catering in July 2011, starting as a non-profit teaching cooking classes to seven kids in a youth program. He later competed on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen and launched the Soul on the Road food truck.
