A Germantown gastropub specializing in smoked foods, with inventive dishes for both meat eaters and vegetarians, weekend brunch, and catering. The menu includes "The Greatest," billed as Louisville's largest challenge burger, plus wings that have drawn local review coverage. The patio is pet friendly. The restaurant runs a Pay It 'Four'ward campaign offering free pantry items daily and periodic free meals for people facing food insecurity, and supports charities including Apron, Inc. and the 'A Taste for Life' suicide prevention fundraiser.
The building has housed restaurants, bars, and mercantile businesses for nearly 150 years, dating to 1876. Chris Williams, executive chef and pitmaster, bought the property in 2018 and also runs the Café 502 food truck. Four Pegs is a member of BuyBlackLou, and Williams has competed in the 502 Chili Cookoff and the Food Network's Big Bad BBQ Brawl.
