Power In Protection Law Firm is a Black-owned and women-owned Charlotte law practice founded by Darlene Harris, Esq., a civil rights attorney and trademark specialist with more than a decade of legal experience. Harris earned her law degree from North Carolina Central University and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The firm was built specifically to support minority entrepreneurs and mission-driven startups, combining civil rights advocacy with business-focused legal services under one roof. On the civil rights side, the firm represents clients in police brutality and misconduct cases, working to hold law enforcement accountable, alongside general criminal defense representation. On the business side, Power In Protection handles trademark registration and broader brand protection, business incorporation, and contract drafting, giving entrepreneurs a single firm for both forming their business and protecting its intellectual property.
