About Warehouse BBQ

Warehouse BBQ is a smokehouse in Youngsville, North Carolina, serving smoked meats and barbecue favorites prepared fresh daily. Most of the meat is smoked by founder Archie Ware himself, with brisket as the signature cut, and the menu combines his mother’s recipes with traditional barbecue technique. The business began as a food truck in 2021 covering Wake and Franklin counties before opening the permanent location in 2022.

Warehouse BBQ began a long way from Youngsville. Archie Ware grew up in Long Island, New York, where, in his words, he "learned to cook beside my mother" — and then spent 29 years working in sanitation before going after the barbecue dream. He opened his first BBQ restaurant in Freeport, New York, and eventually handed it to his son. In 2021 he started again in North Carolina from a food truck, serving Wake and Franklin counties, and in 2022 that became a brick-and-mortar smokehouse in Youngsville. He still smokes most of the meat himself, brisket the signature, on a menu that draws on his mother’s recipes alongside traditional barbecue technique. His framing of the whole thing is a refusal to scale for its own sake: "It was never about being the biggest — it was about doing it right." The operation stays family-run and community-focused, and has been featured by CBS.
